 With a number of players missing now was the chance for the squad players to step up. From an early scrum a long pass was picked up off his toes by full back Dafydd Nicholas making good ground to release Keri Davies on the wing to score in the corner.                                There was again a lot of whistle in this match making it a stop start affair. Richard Davies put in a high kick gathered by Merlyn McClelland but the referee called them back for offside, Aled Tommason kicked the points. Further penalties for the hosts put them upfield with good touch finders from Chris Powell.  Llandybie’s line out was not functioning well but from a scrum Nicholas came into the line at pace to break through with Nathaniel Butler inside him to score converted by Tommason. Half time the hosts had a fifteen point lead.

Lyndon Davies was  his usual handful for the defence, assisted by captain Rhydian Jones. The hosts were unusually being driven back in the scrums making it difficult for Jones and Tommason at scrum half.  From a kick through by New Dock  Tommason was deemed to have impeded the centre and the referee awarded a penalty try. Llandybie changed their two props bringing on Keenan Jones and Dan Brooks to steady the ship. James Tommason came in from the wing into the line out and from his catch the hosts went wide. Flanker Butler made ground feeding  Nicholas who dummied  a pass to the wing and sped sixty yards to score a lovely try. The referee flashed two yellow cards for the Dock for too much verbals and turned one to red for continued backchat.  New Dock rallied with some forward pressure with pick and drives and forced their way over for a converted try by Jordan Evans. Alex Comey replaced McClelland and Josh Cranfield came on for the injured winger Rhydian Jones. Chris Powell put Cranfield on a run but he was bundled into touch. From the throw New Dock tried to run out of defence but Cranfield intercepted the pass to score under the posts converted by Powell for their bonus point. Final score was 30 – 14.
